Delicia Garner PA-C, FAAPA is a nationally certified Physician Assistant with over 12 years of experience in the field of Dermatology. Her entry into the medical workforce started when she was 18, as a pharmacy technician.  While working and attending classes, Delicia received her Bachelor of Science cum laude from Eastern Kentucky University. She then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Kentucky.  Intrigued by the visual nature of the specialty, Delicia then went on to specialize in the field of Dermatology for 7 years.  She then switched her specialty to mental health due to a need in her community.  After 3 years of practice as a Physician Assistant in mental health, her love of Dermatology has led her back to the specialty where she has practiced ever since.

Delicia has practiced Dermatology in both her home state of Kentucky, and in the state of Florida.  In Florida she was further trained by Dr. Cambio and extended her areas of dermatologic care to pediatrics.  In her career, Delicia has personally and successfully diagnosed and treated tens of thousands of adult and pediatric patients with dermatological conditions including skin cancers. Delicia has relocated to Tennessee and joined Change Dermatology.

Delicia’s background in pharmacology and behavioral health enables her to see and treat the patient wholly. She is especially interested in how the skin reflects a patient’s overall health status.  By examining her patient’s skin, she attentively observes what is going on internally, both physically and mentally. Furthermore, Delicia has a knack for understanding how certain behaviors impact skin health and wellness.  These keen insights set Delicia apart in the process of diagnosing and treating patients.

Delicia has recently been awarded and recognized as a top provider in Southwest Florida. She is an active member of the Tennessee Association of Physician Assistants. Her areas of specialty include the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin cancers, and general dermatology where Delicia treats a wide array of dermatological conditions in both adults and children.

When not seeing patients, Delicia enjoys reading, hiking, swimming, and listening to all genres of music. She is a huge fan of Dolly Parton, and a lifelong University of Kentucky basketball fan.  She cherishes spending time with her daughter and grandson.
